Ruby Canyon Engineering extends its ANSI scope of accreditation to include verifying greenhouse gas emissions related to electric power transactions

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (April 30, 2014) – Ruby Canyon Engineering, Inc. (RCE), a leading greenhouse gas (GHG) consulting and verification firm, has extended its ANSI scope of accreditation to include verifying GHG emissions related to electric power transactions. RCE received its scope of accreditation for power generation in 2009, and now approved for power transaction, is now able to offer its GHG verification services to fully-integrated electric utility companies. Since receiving the accreditation in March 2013, RCE has completed GHG verifications for two utilities under The Climate Registry’s program – Seattle City Light and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

Michael Cote, President of RCE, says, “We have GHG verification at large electric power generators since 2011, so it seemed like a natural progression to broaden our GHG services to electric utility companies where power generation and delivery metrics are calculated.”
