RCE extends its ANSI scope of accreditation to include verifying greenhouse gas emissions and projects in the land use and forestry sector

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (May 13, 2015) – Ruby Canyon Engineering, Inc. (RCE), a leading greenhouse gas (GHG) consulting and verification firm, has extended its ANSI scope of accreditation to include verifying GHG emissions and project-level removals related forestry and land-use. As part of the accreditation process, RCE successfully verified an Improved Forest Management project under the Climate Action Reserve’s program. RCE is now able to offer forestry and land use verification services under The Climate Action Reserve, Verified Carbon Standard and American Carbon Registry programs.

Peter Browning, RCE’s Forest Carbon Project Manager, says, “Forest carbon projects present significant opportunities for climate change prevention and mitigation in regions around the world. Notably, they also provide many biological and cultural co-benefits not afforded by other project types. RCE is excited to expand our services in this important, developing sector.”
